Research Interests
My research deals with lubricants under high pressure. Despite the obvious applied motivation of the research it is challenging for basic understanding of mechanisms of friction, wear, etc.
A few alternative experimental techinques are in use for study of structural transitions under high pressure and measurements of viscosity and bulk modules of modern lubricants. I use diamond anvil cells (including ShearDAC which allows to apply shear stress under high pressure) and few spectroscopic methods.
