My research interest is the relationship between the structure and function of biological macromolecules, particularly proteins, and in the CSEC context, how they are affected by high hydrostatic pressure. The main technique employed is X-ray crystallography. Although now retired, I am collaborating with Laura Spagnolo on enzymes involved in DNA processing. The technologies of high pressure bacterial growth, uv spectroscopy and CD spectropolarimetry are also of interest.
